I’d Like to Fly
What I did:
'I'd like to fly' is my personal brand, the home of my family blog, and my own inspirational mantra. It's my experimental journal and creative playground. A place where I'm a full time dad of three, part time BBQ chef, aspiring writer, wannabe photographer, and hopeless romantic. It's a collection of essays, photos, recipes, adventures, rants, heartaches, losses, triumphs, hopes, and dreams. It's about embracing the unpredictability of life and all the things I encounter along the journey. It's me.
Biltmore Venture Partners
What I did:
Biltmore Venture Partners is a North Carolina based investment firm interested in early stage companies that offer highly differentiated products and services that have the ability to achieve market leadership and retain leadership over time. The firm wanted a logo that imparted both a sense of stability, foundation, and traditional investment values as well as a modern, forward thinking vision.
National Loan Recovery
What I did:
National Loan Recovery specializes in helping their clients avoid foreclosure and in find working solutions for both the homeowner and the mortgage lender. They wanted a logo that spoke directly to what is most important and valuable to their clients - their home. The final version of the logo presents a familiar styled roofline supported by the National Loan Recovery word-mark and back-dropped by a deep blue sky with large fluffy clouds.
Just the Q
What I did:
Just the Q is a social networking site where folks interested in all sorts of outdoor cooking methods can share ideas, techniques, recipes, backyard BBQ stories, and build friendships based on a mutual love for all things grilled, smoked, stewed, roasted, or otherwise cooked outdoors. The bold stance, western typeface treatment and stars, and the familiar 'smokehouse' smokestack combine to produce a logo that is immediately recognizable and endearing to outdoor cooking enthusiasts everywhere.

What I did:
Wilson's Pit BBQ & Grill is my on-site barbecue catering service serving Mecklenburg, Lincoln, and Gaston counties in North Carolina. We offer traditional smoked and grilled meats along with great classic, southern side dishes and desserts. No matter the occasion or season, give your guests a true “Taste of the South” from Wilson's Pit BBQ & Grill. It's an event you will never forget!
